Spring is finally here and the first weekend with sunshine and perfect cycling weather was announced. So: Get on your bike and off to the Ardennes.
The Ardennes offer excellent cycling and hiking trails for all fitness levels, such as the Eifel-Ardennes cycle path or the Vennbahn. And it doesn't matter whether it's a racing bike, gravel bike, mountain bike or, as I said, on foot - everyone gets their money's worth.
But we made it easy for ourselves and rented a house near Stoumont and started from there. Le Coffee Ride was at the top of our list, so we booked ahead for the BBQ. Every Friday is Pasta Night and every Saturday there is a barbecue on site (with a vegetarian option). After a strenuous day tour, there is simply nothing better! (You can register directly on the Le Coffee Ride website.) During the day the cafe serves cakes, delicious snacks, very good coffee and the rosé wasn't bad at all!
Speaking of rosé: You can also stay overnight at Le Coffee Ride. At the weekends there is room for up to 26 people in two, three or four-bed rooms.
If you also need to change your sweaty cycling jersey, you can get new clothes in the shop. The new collection for men and women is also available online.
Would you like to know more about Le Coffee Ride? With "The Creative Cyclist", the team runs a podcast that tells exciting adventure stories from and about inspiring cycling enthusiasts. For example, about Sanne Hitipeuw from the Netherlands, who reports on her extreme tours in episode 13. Have a listen, it's worth it.
